Nature Conservancy of Canada
Since the early 80s, Stuart and Sharon Soderberg have worked with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) to preserve the natural ecological values of the property—and for a period of time, NCC entered into a conservation covenant with the resort pertaining to a portion of the property considered to have the highest conservation values. Though this agreement has since been retired the Soderbergs have continued their support of NCC.
The Soderberg’s focus on balancing the natural environment at the resort with sensitive development is a part of the reason guests return year after year.
The Conservancy’s partnership with the Soderbergs and the resort today is based around their continuing financial support of NCC’s conservation work.
